Accessibility

How we have built this website, and how to reach us if you need something in a different form.

Visiting our offices

For our main office in Ilford, east London, please contact us before you visit so that we can confirm the access arrangements and make sure we can accommodate you properly.

Our Manchester office at 66 Dickenson Road has step-free access for wheelchair users and anyone with limited mobility.

If travelling to us would be difficult for any reason, tell us. A great deal of our work — particularly immigration and welfare benefits — is handled by telephone, email and video, and we can often deal with a matter without you coming to an office at all.

Adjustments we can make

Tell us what would help and we will do our best to arrange it. That might include:

  • Correspondence in large print
  • Appointments by telephone or video
  • Longer appointments where you need more time
  • A quieter time of day for your appointment
  • Bringing a family member, friend or support worker with you
  • Arranging an interpreter, including British Sign Language

You do not need to explain why. Just ask.

This website

We have built this site to be usable by as many people as possible. In particular:

  • Text and background colours are tested for contrast
  • The site works using a keyboard alone, without a mouse
  • Animation is switched off if your device asks for reduced motion
  • Pages work on phones, tablets and computers
  • Text resizes without the layout breaking
  • A “skip to content” link is provided for screen reader users

We know this does not make the site perfect, and there will be things we have missed.

Known limitations

The maps of our offices are supplied by another organisation and may be difficult to use with a screen reader. The address of each office is always given in text alongside the map, so no information is only available inside the map.

The badge confirming our regulation by the Solicitors Regulation Authority is supplied by the SRA and we cannot alter how it behaves.

Telling us about a problem

If you have difficulty using any part of this site, or you need information from it in a different format, contact us on 0161 566 3492 or at info@acsolicitors.org and we will provide what you need another way.

We would rather hear about a problem than have someone give up on getting in touch.
